Learning to Let Go

This morning as I read John 5:5 through 7 which reads “And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, ‘Wilt thou be made whole?’  The impotent man answered him, ‘Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.'”

As I read and reread those verses, I realized there was someone from my past that I seemed to hang on to bad qualities about him.  I had refused to forgive him and had all the reasons why I shouldn’t.  That was exactly what that man was doing by the pool.  Rather than wanting a healing, he wanted to hang on to the reasons why he hadn’t been healed.  What a revelation!  Today, I will see this man though God’s eyes, which means seeing him through Love’s eyes.  By the way, he was healed instantly by the Christ, Truth!
