No Imperfection in Perfection

Recently heard someone talk about the piece of music “Ode to Joy”.  Now  that music is written perfectly, but if someone struggles when playing it, it doesn’t make the piece imperfect!  One would keep practicing until he got it right.  Then I began to think about man, who was made perfect in His image and likeness.  Yes, we make mistakes but God’s Love neutralizes those mistakes when we learn from them and forgive ourselves, release them and continue forward.  Our true self doesn’t become imperfect.  My thought is this journey is about learning more and more about God and our relationship to Him and realizing  only Spiritual growth is going on.

Romans 8:39 states “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  That includes mistakes we may make along the way.

The Cave

This morning as I was praying about the rescue of the boys’ soccer team and their assistant coach from the cave in Thailand, I had  been reading the Holy Bible and “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy asking for guidance on how to pray.  Was immediately led to a citation in Science and Health, which stated “Material belief is slow to acknowledge what the spiritual fact implies.  The Truth is the centre of all religion.  It commands sure entrance into the realm of Love.”  That seemed to be the answer for me as I thought of the dire predictions humanly but soon remembered that God was right there with those children in the cave.

Also, the prayers going out from people all over the world have to be comforting them and those who are seeking an entrance in order to save them.  My prayer today surrounds those inside as well as outside those walls.  Then, I realized I was praying for the entire universe.

Romans 8:38-39 states “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Subtle Temptations

While sitting at my desk and studying my Bible Lesson for the day, small negative tempting thoughts seem to creep in.  Now, the choice is mine on whether or not to entertain and feed them.  Remembering reading about Jesus’s temptations while on the mountain after fasting, he just told error, or satan, to “Get thee behind me.”  That is exactly what I will do while a scripture from Romans 8:38-39 comes to mind.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
