Begin with God

There are times when we are so self-absorbed, we are blinded to all the Good surrounding us.  By ruminating about past hurts, either real or imagined or aches and pains in the body, and over-analyzing everything, Life can easily pass us by.  To get back on the right path,  I turn to Luke 12: 29-32 which states, “And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.  Your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Praying with this verse causes me to release it all to God and know that my every need is met by Divine Love.

Freedom is a Choice

This morning at the grocery store there was an error made and it took a while for the cashier to get it rectified.  On the way home, I rehearsed the event in order to tell my husband what had happened.  All at once, I was reminded I had a choice here.  Rather than ruminating over the error, I could catch my thinking and replace it with the thought that she was a precious child of God!  My thought lifted and I realized I was free from negative thinking and it was always up to me!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”  Galatians 5:22-23
