No Lack of Good

A question frequently asked is “How much money do I have?” or “Do I have enough money?” when actually, the question should be “Am I really grateful for all that I have?”  Sometime, the thought will come in loud and clear, “Should I have spent that yesterday?”  Do we really think the sun feels that way after brightly shining for a day?  Do we think it feels it may not have enough for the next day?    A line in “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” reads, “Giving does not impoverish us in the service of our Maker, neither does withholding enrich us.”

When we are receptive and responsive we see supply all around us.  Fear keeps us from recognizing the abundance of Good.  Psalms 23:1 reads “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”.  To me, that means, I shall not want for any good thing!  My every need is met.  Today, I will know this to be true.
