The Potter and The Clay

Isaiah 64:8 reads, “Yet, O Lord, you are our Father.  We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”  This verse tends to take the personal responsibility off me as I pray with it.  The battle is always God’s and our only responsibility is to Love one another.  When we cease to condemn, complain and judge, once again, we progress.  That also includes condemning ourselves as well as others.  God is working His purpose out and we may just not be able to see the whole picture at times.  In time, He will reveal it to us.

Peace is given to us daily and is the natural order of things, rather than the chaotic picture the world would paint.  As we learn to turn more and more to God and our inward thoughts are calmed, we can hear the small, clear voice within.

John 14:27 reads, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
