Learning to Love

My daily prayer is to love more completely, realizing that means everyone!  Even being humanly justified to not love someone steals my joy.  Love is always the answer!  It is more comforting to love; vastly  more  pleasurable, and a great deal more satisfying.

Philippians 4:13 states “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”  This is the only way I can love all.

Morning Requests

At times when I first awaken, my thoughts go immediately to  what I have been working on or things I need to do.  Before that takes hold in my consciousness, I recall two scriptures, one is Psalm 5:3 which reads, “In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.”  The other one is Philippians 4:13 and states, “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

With that being said, I pause and wait on God to direct my path.

Never Just Me

As I begin my day, there are times when I may feel overwhelmed with things I need to do.  If I am not careful, the weight of the world falls on my shoulders.  Now, actually, I know that to be a lie and Philippians 4:13 comes to mind to shine some Truth on my thinking.  It reads, “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me (I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me: I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency).” That is from the Amplified Bible and I find it helpful.  Once again, I am reminded that “Of mine ownself, I can do nothing.”  Freedom from bondage comes from that realization.
