While watching all of the rescues and good deeds being carried out in Houston and surrounding areas, my heart is lifted by the inclusive Love being shown, rather than excluding anyone. It doesn’t need to take a disaster of this magnitude to experience this kind of Love. 2 Corinthians 5:16 reads, “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more.” Isn’t that what that verse is saying? Look at man through God’s (Love’s) eyes. He doesn’t see a color or a race but His image and likeness.
Matthew 13: 18-23 tells about the seed or Word of God falling on different kinds of mental conditions. Initially, it talks about hearing for the first time and getting excited about it. But, that is temporary because there is no root. When our mental condition is not prepared to receive this because of preoccupation of material cares, riches and pleasures, we are not ready for the Truth. The good ground is an honest and pure heart willing to be patient for the fruits of his labor. Matthew 13: 23 states “And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.” When doubt and discouragement try to enter into thought, we just need to reject the thought there is more than one God and replace it with the knowing there is only one God!
