Today as I think about the birth of the Christ, who represented Truth and constant communion with God, was met then as now with both adoration and resentment and fear. Then, I stilled my thoughts and wondered where I would fall. Would I also see the proof of Love and Truth or would I be seduced by error and sin? Only by seeing God in everything, could I be true to Him and with His help, I can do just that.
Luke 1:35 states “The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.'” That can be done only by leaving room in my consciousness for the perfect and harmonious. Releasing all complaint and replacing it with gratitude will help that mission.
Today it has been brought to my attention that the above can certainly burden one while darkening thoughts. It is so seductive to entertain ugly thoughts but then where does it leave us? Right then, right there Christ, Truth is and all we need to do is question this thought to see if that is what God is seeing. Luke 6:42 states, ” Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pullout the mote that is in the brother’s eye.” We can surely not have dark thoughts and still have room for the birth of the Christ in our thinking. They cannot co-exist.
This season my focus will be on the Christ!
If we would faithfully realize every day that the omnipresence of Love fills the whole universe, the consciousness of the healing, saving power of that Love will reach and bless all who reach out to God in their extremity. Lonely hearts will become conscious of His infinite Presence. Those afraid will feel the touch of this Love and be comforted.
The light of the Christ will dispel the darkness of fear and pain, and His voice will declare, “Lo, I am with you always, you are never alone.”
Numbers 6:25-26 states “The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” This prayer is for the world.
