The Weather

While at my desk studying and praying, I received a frantic call from someone in another state asking me to pray about the weather since the predictions do not look good.  The verse to a Hymn we sing at Church came to mind:

“In heavenly Love abiding, No change my heart shall fear;

And safe is such confiding, For nothing changes here.

The storm may roar without me, My heart may low be laid;

But God is round about me, And can I be dismayed?”

Isaiah 41:10 states “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  These words appear to me to be a promise and I will take them as such.

Where do I Go with Questions?

Early today I “googled” a recipe which is so convenient and easy to do.  Then I was reminded when something arises, do I call a friend or someone who would agree with me about an issue or do I call someone who would help me to see the Truth or do I call on God?  There are times when God is not where I turn first but should always be.

Isaiah 41:10 reads “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Dependency on God is maturity rather than immaturity!  Thank you, Father for every opportunity I am given to grow in grace.

Voice of God

This morning the thought came to mind about thinking erroneously or negatively.  If I am perplexed in any way on where a certain thought came from, immediately I know it is not from God.  There is never a doubt when the thought is Truth, which is always peaceful and certain and leads with a loving hand.  If the thought is negative in any way (envy, bitterness, vengeful, hateful, etc.) all I need to do is to reject it and replace it with Truth, Love.  Love knows absolutely nothing of envy, bitterness, etc. and those traits can never co-exists with Love.  Love is always the answer!  Isaiah 41:10 reads, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

My prayer today will be with that verse if any negative thought appears!

God is Right Here

Recently there was a sign out in front of a Church that read, “Don’t make me come down there and it was signed God!”  People were amused about it and shared it with each other.  It didn’t amuse me at all because I know God to be present here and now.  Isaiah 41:10 reads, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous hand.”

Man is never, ever separated from his creator.  This is a Truth that is very comforting to me.

Divine Love’s Guidance

While reading of the future predictions of world affairs, it is tempting to become worried.  The temptation is that there is something larger than God and can look hopeless.  Then, I was led to re-read  a paragraph from an article  that states, “When the heart yearns for divine Love’s guidance, we can be assured of being gently directed to where we need to be, and when we need to be there.  Spiritual growth accompanies all of our desires Spiritward, and divine inspiration never leaves us in a rut or treading endlessly through old ways of thinking.”

Once again, I was reminded that “Perfect love cast out fear.”  Also, a promise from Isaiah 41:10 was so reassuring which reads, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”    Once again, I will ask God to reveal what I am to know and trust Him in everything.

Knowing the Truth Now

This morning as we prepare for the first follow-up Doctor’s visit for my husband, I know the Truth about my husband before hearing what the Doctor has to say.  I don’t need to hear an opinion about his perfection and know God is already there.

Psalm 112:27 reads “He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.”  Isaiah 41:10 states, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Knowing in my heart that man is never separated from God for an instant brings me peace.

Healing the World Begins with Me

The brutal, senseless act in Orlando recently has once again brought hatred to world thought.  As I first watched the news with disbelief, then sadness and anger, I turned off the television to pray.  More Love is what is needed, not more anger and hatred.  Then I began to think, “What can I do?”

It suddenly became clear as I thought of a neighbor who had put up a fence I didn’t like.  Then, I had attended a meeting where someone disagreed with my opinion.  Now, I’m not saying I hate these people, but I saw unkindness in my thought, rather than unconditional Love, which I need to practice more and more.

In Isaiah 41:10, it states, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”  With God, all things are possible; alone I can do nothing.
