How Quickly I Forget

Recently, I spent several days  and multiple hours preparing for an annual report and audit for an organization where I am Treasurer.  In so doing, there was a small error that was keeping me from balancing and the report goes to State.  During this ordeal, many prayers were prayed humbly asking for help.  I prayed with “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” from Isaiah 40:31.

After much frustration, the error was found and the report submitted yesterday. It was such a great relief!   This morning while at my desk and praying and giving thanks, I nearly forgot how very grateful I was to get that job completed!  How quickly I forget when only yesterday I was crying out for help and it was given to me.

Depending Upon God

There was a time when I would have thought “leaning on God” was a weakness.  Today, as I depend upon God for everything and realize all good comes from God, I am strengthened.

Isaiah 40:28-31 states, “Do you not know? Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.   He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Hopeful Anticipation

While waiting on God and trusting Him with a grateful attitude, we see Life through light.  We can only glorify Him in this state of thought; therefore, we are then  able to enjoy Life to the fullest.  Gratitude always is riches while complaint is forever, poverty.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  Isaiah 40:31
