This morning as I work with faith, it becomes clear to me that I may not know how electricity works, but I use it. Nor I do not know how a car goes, but I drive one. Then, I recognize that God is Love and God is in everything that is Good. So Love must be, also. When I am joyful and loving, the food I prepare tastes even better than when I cook just out of need or duty! As I balance a checkbook, it becomes easier when my thought entertains no negativity.
Hebrews 11:3 takes on a new light for me as I read, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Someone posted on Facebook this morning…”I don’t care what your race is, what your sexual preference is, what political party you belong to , or what other differences we may have, if you are nice to me, I will be nice to you.” This is well and good but doesn’t someone have to be first? I think I will take that thought with me today and be first!
2 Corinthians 1:21-22, reads, “Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”
God, Love is as close as our heartbeat. That is a promise, independent of our awareness. We do not realize this when we are worried, which is a form of unbelief. Luke 12 reads, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”
Can it be any clearer ? Worrying means we are lacking faith in God!
