For the past few days, there have been difficulties with my computer. It seemed like everything was effected. I almost couldn’t remember a time when I was without it. If that hadn’t been so sad, it would have been humorous! 2 Thessalonians 3:16 set me straight. It reads, “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” Never once did it mention my computer!
Sometime when I experience difficulty, there is a need to remind myself that this is to strengthen my spiritual muscles, rather than punishment for a wrong-doing. The same concept is as we exercise, the physical body is strengthened and as we pray, we grow spiritually. Before a baby bird is born, it must peck out of the shell to strengthen it’s neck muscles. The mother bird could easily help, but could harm the bird in the process.
Changing my view and seeing what God sees makes all the difference.
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” I Peter 5:6-7
