Mother’s Day

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and this day can incite many emotions.  There are ones who have lost their earthly mothers, while there are those who are estranged from mothers.  There are those who never became a mother and may feel as they have missed out on something.  It seems the true winners in this  man-made holiday are the greeting card companies or  the owners of the companies who sell the many gifts or the florist!

Today I choose to think of my true Father, Mother, God and my relationship there.  If I listen humanly, there is a tendency to feel some sadness.  John 14:27 states “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  Praying with this verse, I pray for everyone and that peace fills my heart.

Limited Views

Many times when I feel stuck with a limited viewpoint, it is because I am stuck.  That comes from seeing through human, prideful eyes rather than being willing to look through Love’s eyes.  Revelation 21:1 reads “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away: and there was no more sea.”  After reading that verse, I am reminded that with inspired thought, I can see Love all around me and I always have that choice.  When I feel prideful and filled with human will, soon I realize there is another way of viewing and I humbly ask for guidance and direction.

Today I will practice being more alert and the first sign of an inward struggle, I will stop and wait on God!
