Not the Destination, But the Journey

This morning as I study and pray at my desk, a thought came to me which was “It is not the destination, but the journey.”  Then I thought, maybe that is not true because we are always at the destination!  We are always at our perfect place and not necessarily looking forward as we think we have not arrived yet.  Once again, that makes me think I have not reached a place yet and it is still out of my reach and it keeps me in the future, rather than the present.  Today, I will rejoice where I am and blossom where I am planted.

Romans 13:12 states “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.  So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”  Perhaps, the day is right here.  We need only open our eyes.
