The Light

There is an old legend telling of a captain on a large ship in the middle of the night.  In the distance, he sees a light so he has his messenger send out a message saying they demand the right-away due to the size of their ship so they must move aside.   The captain has him continue on with the importance of his ship and his demands  when they finally receive a message back saying “This is the lighthouse!”

After remembering this,  the thought of God being the lighthouse came to mind.  So often, due to beliefs of importance and false knowledge, we think we should tell God what we need when it is always the other way around.  Genesis 28:15 states “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land.  I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”  Today, I will seek the lighthouse; not my own understanding.
