“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” is the verse Psalm 46:10 which I begin my prayer work with in the mornings.  Some time ago, I was told to replace the words, “Be still” with “relax” and it felt a little odd.  Maybe,  it is because so often, humans don’t know how to relax.    It certainly means the same thing and can replace the old “count to ten before replying” with a verse that soon begins to resonate with you.  That is my verse to practice throughout today.

  1. Hi Becky! There sure is defined truth in that verse from Psalm 46. The more I heed that stillness and calm the more I am lead to be more fruitful, productive, loving, kind and non-judgemental to myself and others. That clarity has been such a gift that I treasure daily. Thank you Becky for ALL YOUR INSPIRATION! ❤ The photo accompaniment is beautiful. God's brightness overshadows any seeming darkness that befalls us. LOVE YOU!
