As I read and re-read this story in the 8th Chapter of Luke, several points come to mind. First, the woman touched the hem of His garment so she was on her knees and not standing erect and proud. This denotes humility. In spite of the fear, she took the needed human footsteps. The instantaneous healing tells me that she was receptive to the Christ and most assuredly, had a softened heart. In Luke 8, it reads “And he said unto her, ‘Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.'”
Humility and a softened heart precede all healing!
